Paid Subscriptions Now Available

Support this blog! (Or don't, it's up to you...)

I’ve just turned on a paid subscription option for the Rough Diamonds substack, at $5/month or $50/year for regular subscribers, or $500/year for “founding” subscribers.

What do you get for being a paid subscriber? For now, nothing; it’s just a tip jar in case you want to support my writing, and a way for me to gauge interest and see how much opportunity there is in writing more on this platform. For the near future, all my posts and the full archive will be free.

Down the road, I may experiment with paid content. Some possibilities:

• paid-subscribers-only posts, including writing that’s more speculative or controversial than my free stuff

• a paid-subscribers-only Discord community for discussions

• opportunities to request/commission posts on topics of your choice

• stuff I haven’t thought of yet! leave suggestions in the comments!

For now, becoming a paid subscriber is essentially an investment in the future of this blog, or a “vote” for me to write more. The more interest I get, the more time and energy I’ll be inclined to invest into the blog. So, if you like what you read, please consider it!
