I like this both as a framework for thinking about people/orgs but also as much more useful axes for talking about research than "fundamental" "Basic/applied" etc
I just found your Substack column and subscribed. You probably have not heard of me, but I have been a member of the Progress Studies movement for a number of years and have written two books on the subject. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the conference and meet you.
